A Savior for You

Jesus Christ came into the world to be the Savior of all men. The angel came to Joseph to tell him why Mary was with child. “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). The shepherds were abiding in the field when the angel appeared to them with the great news: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). The message was not just for the shepherds, but also for YOU – unto YOU a Savior has been born!

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that He died on the cross, was buried in a borrowed tomb for three days, and then arose victoriously from death and the grave (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Paul declared that this gospel is the power of God unto salvation for all who will believe (Romans 1:16).

The good news becomes even better news when you understand that He did all of this for your sake. The best news you will ever receive is when you realize that He has personally invited you to come to Him in faith and repentance to be born again into the family of God (John 1:12).

The life of Jesus on earth blessed many people through His miracles and teaching. Yet, He always reminded them of the real purpose of His coming: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). If you are not saved, He is now seeking you and He WILL save you! He is not just a Savior, but He is THE Savior. You will not be saved unless you through faith and repentance accept Him. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Then, you will not only know Him as ‘a Savior’, or ‘the Savior’, but you will rejoice in saying, “He is MY Savior!”
